General Background Information

Mission Statement

We are a worldwide manufacturer/supplier of high quality flooring products made primarily from recycled rubber or other environmentally friendly compounds that are designed specifically for high traffic or high abuse areas in all types of retail and commercial buildings. We will, at all times, strive to maintain the high standards set forth in the "Total Quality Management" or "TQM" philosophy. The ultimate end goal is the preservation of the world's natural resources through creative engineering.

Experience/Design Factors

  • U.S. Rubber Recycling Inc. is recognized as the premier resource for tire tiles of all types and the staff has over four decades of experience in rubber recycling.

  • U.S. Rubber Recycling Inc. has both the experience and the expertise to continually develop new products that provide design flexibility hitherto unavailable in tire tile.

SureStep Traffic Tire Tile

  • The flagship product of the company, SureStep™ Traffic Tire Tile is a third generation tire tile with a unique design that compliments the demanding expectations of its clientele who expect a tire tile to be extremely durable and long lasting in all sorts of conditions.

  • SureStep has a fully integrated, fiberglass hot melt adhesive backing that virtually eliminates the possibility of delamination and insures an easier flat bond to surface during installation.

  • SureStep is backed by an unprecedented full six year warranty against delamination and wear.

Cutting Edge Products

  • Survivor™ Flooring Systems uses an all new patent pending process that features standard tire cords imbedded into existing channels in hardened rubber molded tile. Its revolutionary design is reversible and interlocking, making for an easier and lower cost installation. The design also addresses concerns over delamination and lack of color selection found with standard tire tiles.

  • SureFlexx™ SportFloor is a unique product made from "crumb rubber" which is a by-product of the tire recycling process. The black crumb rubber is then combined with "EPDM" or new colored rubber "flecks" and a non-toxic urethane bonding agent and loaded into a high compression mold. The end result is a very durable and attractive flooring perfect for a number of sports related uses like, aerobic studios, fitness centers, skating rinks, walking tracks and even acoustical applications.

  • SuperFlexx™ Paver Tiles are made in a process similar to SportFloor except this product utilizes the "primary buffings" from the tire recycling process. The buffings are then bathed in a UV resistant paint and molded under high pressure with a non-toxic urethane bonding agent. The resultant product is extremely popular for numerous applications at golf courses, on patios, garden/hobby areas and around swimming pool decks.

Installation & Costs

  • U.S. Rubber Recycling's tire tiles have low life cycle costs and the ease of maintaining them make them an ideal flooring material for use in high traffic/abuse areas. The entrances of retail outlets, hotels, casino's, shopping malls, grocery stores and other commercial/industrial buildings are prime candidates for the use of tire tile. It is used in so many airports that it is often referred to as 'airport' tile and many of the nation's finest golf courses have used it for its amazing ability to stand up against steel spikes.

  • U.S. Rubber Recycling Inc. has direct access to the largest supply of waste tires in the world via its factory location in Southern California. This translates into lower manufacturing costs, which in turn, enable U.S. Rubber Recycling Inc. to be very aggressive in terms of its pricing strategy.

  • U.S. Rubber Recycling Inc. has developed a proprietary urethane adhesive that is excellent for both indoor and outdoor installations and is mandatory for warranty compliance.

  • U.S. Rubber Recycling's tire tile products can be installed with exceptional ease using a process that is similar to installing vinyl composition tile.
